Winnipeg, MB—Westfield Industries (a division of Ag Growth Industries) announced Feb. 6 the release of its revolutionary portable grain auger, the MK Flex.

Westfield has established a reputation as a manufacturer who puts the requirements of the farmer at the forefront of their designs.

The MK Flex addresses common complaints of today’s intensive farm operator: having to get in and out of the truck cab when unloading multi hopper trailers, and a lack of flexibility when parking trucks and gravity wagons adjacent to the unloading auger.

The MK Flex is unlike any other conventional swing away.

Verne Rogers, R&D manager explains, “The difference is clear as soon as you see this piece of equipment.

"It features a double jointed design with hydraulic hopper mover that allows you to easily cover 287% more surface area.

"You can unload both hoppers on a 54’ grain trailer without repositioning your truck.”

A pre-production unit went through extensive testing during Iowa’s corn harvest at Chuck Potter’s farm.

“This auger is the most flexible, easy to use swing auger system that we’ve used. It makes harvest go much faster.

"We don’t have to get in and out of our truck two or three times to unload at a bin site.

"I think it’s increased our harvest speed by at least one day over the whole year.

"It’s a great deal for us as farmers," says Potter who has since requested to keep the pre-production unit he helped to test.

The unveiling of the new MK Flex is set for the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville Kentucky on February 10-14th.

The MK Flex is available in 13” tube diameter and in lengths of 71’, 81’, 91’ and 111’.
